Village Commerce and Trade
All GreenFire Commerce will be communicated and transacted within the GreenFire DAO, a distributed autonomous organization.
We focus primarily on the 3D printing in this section as it is the vehicle of success for the landfill pickers.
Each village factory is a 3D print manufacturing node on the GreenFire network of other factories on other landfills. All factories can communicate directly with other factories as needed.
A central repository of Documents, tutorials and product plans will be available for download from the GreenFire DAO distributed library.
Education and Research
3D printing, and open source 3D printers in particular, are the latest technology making inroads into STEM education. GreenFire endorses and supports the STEM system of educating the Pickers to operate their factory.
3D printing allows Pickers to create the necessary items without a long investment in the learning process. Pickers design and produce actual products to wear and use, like shoes.
The factory environment allows Picker to learn and employ new applications for 3D printing very quickly. Some authors have claimed that 3D print manufacturing offers an unprecedented “revolution” in STEM education (Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics).
The potential for both the low cost ability for rapid prototyping and manufacturing by the pickers, and the fabrication of low-cost high-quality village building materials and household goods to lift them out of the dumps is enormous.
Engineering and design principles are explored with the Pickers as well as architectural and infrastructure planning. A library of available designs from the GreenFire library are available to assist.
When Pickers get an opportunity like this, they will be instant willing participants. GreenFire encourages the freedom to explore, invent and learn.
3D printing gives Pickers a new perspective on the world in which they live, a hope for the future.
3D printing and design can encourage various literacies and creative capacities of children in accordance with the spirit of the interconnected, information-based world.
GreenFire DAO Manufacturing
GreenFire DAO 3D print manufacturing allows decentralized and geographically independent distributed production.
GreenFire distributed manufacturing, through the Landfill Village Network, establishes a service network that put people needing 3D printing in contact with the landfill factories.
The landfill factories offer on-line 3D printing services to both commercial and private customers, working from 3D designs uploaded to the GreenFire repository website. 3D-printed products are shipped to the customer or picked up from a service provider.
In this model, 3D printing can become a local village mass market producer. The village factory can produce almost everything the village requires in consumer type household products. The village factory will print them using plans from a 3D model downloaded from the GreenFire repository or custom designed if not in the library.
Enter Decentralized Markets
Between the Landfills, there will be established decentralized markets which allow the landfills to engage in trade directly with each other. Instead of relying on the centrally-controlled servers of the company, the GreenFire decentralized market operates by employing the factory’s own computers as the infrastructure.
GreenFire will establish a trading platform exclusively for the Landfill factories. This environment will allow the Landfill Traders to establish themselves and learn to trade. When appropriate they will seek to and go public. We encourage this evolution and we encourage anyone to volunteer to assist in this effort.
The Landfill Trading Culture
We have now begun to establish a Landfill “trading culture”, let me explain how the Landfill does business.
We will have our own decentralized banking system, The GreenFire Gold Reserve Bank, the bank of the GreenFire DAO. The GreenFire Bank and exchange will be able to exchange with any other cryptocurrency or dollars or euros.
The GreenFire DAO allows GreenFire to build a digital banking system into the GreenFire Network. Each Landfill Micro factory will have a regulated account and the capability to reach out into the global world of commerce.
The factories will be able to perform business transactions between each other in a private and secure way that no one else will know about.
As the manufacturing grows the word will get out to the public and the consumer demand will be extraordinary for a few years. After that phase the industrial manufacturing will be established and will provide for these villages for years.
The 3D manufacturing bigger revenue picture.
We know where the non-marketable by-products are used but what happens with the recovered marketable by products. There is really no way of determining the actual make-up of the content of the landfill waste but we know there is something of everything in that waste.
The GreenFire process delivers three products, as has been noted earlier. The gases and fuels are a local product. It is estimated that the supply initially will not be an oversupply and will be used by the village and the GreenFire system.
The gas and fuels are used for electrical generation and fuels for utilities. The non-marketable raw materials are used for manufacturing and landfill treatment.
GreenFire has a marketing department that markets the refined raw materials and will share the profit from Marketable Raw Materials. GreenFire will deposit 20% into a trust fund for the villages from the sale of the marketable materials
