As demonstrated, entrepreneurship when viewed from this perspective, is a common essence that exists in all man kind and it is inextinguishable, just add opportunity.
The landfill children are like “WASTE” to most of society, “invisible.” Society does not recognize them. The Children see no path nor do they have options for a path out of the Landfill. The options for these children are very limited. Once in a great while an opportunity presents itself and is taken immediately and completely.
These remarkable children work hard each day to succeed as well, only they call it survival.
Both ends of this entrepreneurial spectrum have the same qualities; inspiration, creativity, imagination, action, vision and risks. The Children of the Landfill are the most remarkable because they succeed in the most ”basic” way, through the veils of waste.
One attribute all successful entrepreneurs have in common is that they are willing to put everything they have on the line any time of the day. To them its all luck and risk. Its the same with the landfill pickers every day they put everything they have on the line, their survival.
For any of this to deliver on its promise, we have to want it to. We have to think systemically. We must recognize the social, economic, and spiritual dimensions of the amazing ever changing crises we currently face and commit to responding accordingly.
We are talking about the path of an environmentally responsible post-capitalism Renaissance, this is the type of future we can envision.
GreenFire DAO is preparing a ICO campaign for the implementation of Children of the Landfill – Village Project.
Our mission is funded solely by the generous donations of assets individuals and businesses have invested. Without their support GreenFire would be unable to fund these programs. Without your help, the children and young adults would never have the opportunity to pursue their education and their dreams.
